Biblical Foundation for Teaching Physical Education
Since God has ordained the Holy Spirit to dwell within the body of the believer, it is important that we take care of our physical bodies to the glory of God. Physical Education allows the learner to acknowledge God's amazing Creation of the human body by encouraging continuous development of the body's physical abilities. Physical Education also provides a venue for teaching godly character, such as working as a member of a team, encouraging others, being gracious when one has been the "winner" and the "loser," and doing one's best to the glory of God.
We provide the opportunity for students to develop God's many gifts to us, including the fine arts.

Music
- Pre-K students receive general music instruction once a week.
- Grades 1 and 2 students receive general music instruction twice a week.
- Grade 3 students take recorder lessons once a week and choral instruction once a week.
- Grades 4 and 5 students participate in band instruction twice a week and choral instruction once a week.
- Middle school students may choose to take band instruction or choral instruction twice a week.
- High school students may choose band and/or chorus as an elective; each meets two days a week.

Small classes = robust interaction
In a small class, teacher-student and peer interaction are essential to the learning process. Small classrooms foster lively discussion, debate, and interaction, rather than relying on lecture alone. These environments ensure that every student is consistently engaged, as well as helping students enjoy the learning process.
Follow Christ’s Example
The fundamental message of the Bible is one of compassion. How the love of Jesus Christ reaches down into our mess and pulls us into His embrace. Children who grow up with a profound sense of empathy and compassion will almost assuredly be successful in every aspect of life.
Playing the Distractions Away
Is your little one a ball of energy? Pent up energy can often lead to restlessness, an inability to focus, and behavior that hinders the learning process. By giving them a healthy and safe outlet for all of this energy, children become more focused and eager to learn and sit still—just for a little while! Here are some ideas to spark your own creativity:

General Opportunities – Open to the Public
The homeschooling community is encouraged to join us each Wednesday (along with the general public) for our chapels. The standard times for these chapels, which are subject to change due to unique needs and opportunities that arise throughout the course of the school year, are as follows:- Elementary Chapel (K-Gr. 5) from 9:45-10:15 am
- Middle & High School Chapel (Gr. 6-12) from 8:30-9:15 am
- Likewise, homeschooling families are welcome to attend many of our full-school assemblies that are scheduled throughout the school year.
Select Courses Available for Grades 1-12 Enrollment
We also offer the opportunity for homeschool families to enroll in a specific selection of elementary and middle school classes (see below). High school students are also invited to apply to take up to two high school courses each year. Enrollment as a homeschooler is based on the availability of seats.
